Large Heavy Fabrication

With lifting capacities of 120 tons and forming presses of 1800, 800, 750 and 600 tons, Odom Industries is set to be a major player in large heavy steel fabrications. We can easily meet the needs of the steel mill, petroleum refining, and mining industries. Large heavy fabrications due to shipping constraints must be shop fabricated in the largest sections possible, then knocked down for shipment and subsequent field erection. For most purchasing professionals, the terrifying element of managing these jobs is the question of whether all of the pieces will go together in the field where production bottlenecks are most costly. With the large bays and massive overhead cranes that Odom Industries employs, the inspection of large segments check fit in the shop is easily done. In turn, the project engineer can rest assured that the items will match in the field. Also, the large bays and cranes allow us to complete a great deal of the welding in the shop. By forming segments as long as 28'-0", Odom Industries is able to completely eliminate weld joints significantly reducing overall costs in time and money.
